Resource Center: Family Learning Programs
The family learning programs are fully designed educational programs that engage the whole family. The sessions (listed below) are organized into major themes: Jesus and Discipleship, Catholic Prayer, Catholic Sacraments, the Creed, Moral Living, and Church Year Feasts and Seasons.
Each learning program is designed around five elements in an extended time format of 90 minutes.
- A Shared Prayer Experience
- An Opening Learning Experience that introduces families to the topic of the program with content and methods appropriate to all-ages.
- In-depth Learning Experiences conducted in one of three formats where the entire family learns together with activities appropriate to all ages.
- Home Activities that guide families in discovering how to apply their learning to daily life
- Closing Prayer
All churches have permission to download, print, and adapt the materials for their use. Permission is given to use these materials in print and digital formats (websites, newsletters, social media) for educational purposes only. The learning session handouts are in Word files making them easy to adapt the materials for your context.
